We are super excited to announce our new handstand course :)
Do you dream of balancing on your hands, catching the elusive handstand line and learning to breathe while you’re upside down? We’ve got you with this 10-class series on Tuesday evenings (18:00-19:00)!
Each class will focus on specific aspects of handstands. Classes will build on each other and the best way to progress in handstands is continuity. So while drop-ins are possible, we encourage you to join the whole series to really see your handstands progress faster.
This series is for you if…
you are new to handstands and want to learn the basics in a progressive way
you’ve started your handstand journey but feel stuck and want more method and structure
you’re managing to kick-up in the middle of the room but holding doesn’t work yet
What will you learn?
drills to strengthen your wrists and shoulders - we will do an extensive warm-up each class
Line drills to engage the core and work on your handstand line
falling safely (this is a game changer for your freestanding practice)
becoming a really good handstand spotter (an often under-rated skill!)
working with the wall
different ways to enter a handstand
learning to balance in the middle of the room on your own
stretching, cool down and recovery
How to keep it light and fun ;)
Who is teaching?
Hannah & Alexis will be your teachers during this series. In most classes we will both be present, and sometimes one of us will take the lead. We both have gone through the process of learning handstands as adults, encouraging and spotting each other. We will share the tips that helped us make big steps forwards in our practice (those ahaaaaah moments) and the exercises we wish we had known earlier :)
Our philosophy: we believe handstand should be fun. So while we’ll be working on drills and exercises, our focus is on enjoying the process and celebrating the moments of balance. As both acroyoga and yoga teachers, we bring in the playfulness of acroyoga and centeredness of yoga, helping you to cultivate balance inside and out.
When do we start?
The first class is on Tuesday January 16th 2024 from 18:00-19:00. The series will continue for 10 weeks until the 19th of March.

The classes take place in the studio LUV & LEE.

10-class pass: 150€
5-class pass (first half or second half): 80€
