Who ARE Stefano & Jolien?
Stefano and Jolien are traveling the world together and sharing their passion for AcroYoga. They love the many disciplines Acro has to offer, like washing machines, Icarians, whips, standing, and therapeutics. Their specialty together is Montreal-style inspired flow that they love to create. Trying new entrances, finding the edge of possibilities together, understanding transitions and making it look pretty.. yes to all of that!
Being able to switch roles on many occasions, makes them better understand what is needed to make particular skills work. This becomes very clear in their classes, being able to give cues and particular tips to make something work. The difference in size or weight rarely limits them, it inspires them to find new ways.
Although the physical practice is a big part of acro, Stefano and Jolien love to incorporate the more subtle teachings of Acro on communication, trust, letting go of control and the social connection in their daily life. AcroYoga on and off the mat ;)
STEFANO ROMITTI
is a passionate Acroyoga teacher with certifications in Partner Acrobatics, Acroyoga Montreal and Acroyoga International. He also has a deep path in Ashtanga Yoga with more than 9 years of personal practice and many workshops. His studies as a psychologist, his past as a professional tennis player and his own growth experience with Yoga and Acroyoga leads him to understand movement as a symbol of inner transformation. His love for these practices brings the awareness that we should always have fun, while achieving goals and challenging ourselves.
JOLIEN HEETKAMP
has been practicing Acroyoga for many years. What began in her childhood as circus tricks with her sisters, turned into Acro gymnastics in adolescence and into AcroYoga since 2017.
For her, teaching Acro is like breathing, both something instinctive and necessary for her life. Going into details and technicalities, simply enjoying and letting go of how it should be or finding a way that fits a certain combination, Jolien likes all of these styles and combines them in her classes.
What she likes most about Acro is opening people up to the infinite possibilities that the human body has and making them happy by creating something together.
